Not just Wood...
Biowood extends network expertise with one stop solution for general waste, RDF and SRF
With growth rates of 30% year on year Biowood Recycling is extending its network expertise with a new service to cover general waste including black bag, RDF and SRF, providing high quality collection and recycling solutions to customers up and down the supply chain.
The same one-stop-shop solution that currently benefits customers in the waste wood and biomass energy sector where consistent, secure and reliable long term solutions are crucial, will now benefit a range of general waste customers nationwide offering an individually tailored, fully compliant, and documented service with one point of contact.
With a focus on diverting waste from landfill and removing the growing complexities of sourcing and managing waste collection and disposal, the service spans small producers and skip hire companies to large blue chip organisations that need high quality, fully certified, waste disposal solutions, as well as processors producing RDF and SRF to supply the growing EfW sector.
With a number of multi-year contracts already in place, EfW plants and fuel suppliers will benefit by ensuring long term security of supply, while local authorities, retailers and recyclers looking for sustainable waste disposal solutions will benefit from un-biased individually tailored services taking advantage wherever possible of local resources to minimise costs.
Supporting this capability is an established national network of service partners to provide collection, recycling and disposal of black bag waste. This includes RDF and SRF processors and an expanding network of over 50 haulage partners with access to thousands of lorries. The company believes it is now fast becoming a significant nationwide general waste service provider.
"Changing legislation, poor or inconsistent understanding of waste codes and permitted sites, plus general fluidity in the industry with parameters changing almost daily, makes it increasingly difficult and time consuming for individual businesses to source the right haulier and ensure secure and sustainable disposal of their waste streams," explains John Walls, Biowood Recycling's commercial director.
"Offering both ad-hoc and contracted services, our strength lies in marrying up waste producers, hauliers and fuel processors to deliver a higher level of service, greater certainty and better prices for our customers. Our breadth of knowledge and internal systems with real-time job data ensures complete visibility allowing us to react rapidly to changing conditions, spot opportunities for our clients as new sites open or expand and ensure a fully documented compliant service with one point of management," Walls continued.
